Accessibility statement

Our approach
We want everyone to be able to explore travel on TravelResponder, including people who use a keyboard, screen reader, magnification or voice control. We design and build with widely used accessibility guidance in mind. We have not had the site independently audited and don't claim formal conformance with any standard.
Features in place
- Semantic page structure with one main heading per page, landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer, and a "Skip to content" link on information pages.
- Search tabs, menus, dialogs, date pickers and accordions built on components that support keyboard operation and expose their state to assistive technology.
- Visible focus indicators and labelled form fields, with validation messages that explain what to fix.
- Text alternatives for informative images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Layouts that adapt from small phones to large screens and support browser zoom.
- Smooth scrolling is turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Colour combinations chosen for readable contrast.
Known limitations
- Some horizontally scrolling card rows on small screens may be less convenient with switch devices; all of their content is also reachable on dedicated pages such as Destinations.
- We are still testing with a broader range of assistive technologies.
